Case Study: Site Hoarding for Regina Road, One of Croydon’s Biggest Regenerations

Regina Road is one of Croydon’s most significant regeneration projects in decades. The estate, long a focal point for the borough’s housing struggles, is being rebuilt with 340 new homes, green spaces, a community hub and a new preschool. Backed by £54m in government grant funding and shaped by an 88% resident vote in favour of the rebuild, the project marks a turning point for South Norwood and for Croydon Council’s housing strategy.

Our role on the project

We joined the project during the demolition phase, producing the hoarding artwork supplied by the council, constructing the panels and installing them across the perimeter of the site. From the first roll off the press to the final panel in place, we worked as a site hoarding partner ready to meet the demands of every stage.

This was not simply a print job. A project of this scale, with such a long history behind it, needed hoarding capable of performing on a live demolition site without compromising on quality. The installation needed to achieve two things at once: withstand months of heavy works, changing weather and the pressure of a busy construction perimeter, while also remaining a clear and visible presence for residents and passers-by, many of whom had lived on the estate for years and were watching their former homes come down.

Large format hoarding built for the site

Working alongside Croydon Council’s communications team and the wider demolition crew, we installed multiple lengths of large format hoarding across the site. Each panel was built to specification and positioned to help keep the work safe, the site secure and the public connected to what comes next.

For us, Regina Road reflects what site hoarding can achieve when it is treated as more than a barrier. It can communicate, reassure and signal change. We are proud to have played a part in the project and to continue supporting Croydon Council as construction moves into its next phase.
